I imagine the main audience for my workshops are the following types of people:

-People who have heard about the WHM but want an instructor to teach and coach them

-People who are doing the WHM individually but want to do it with a group

-People who are doing the Breathing, but want support for the Ice Bath

-People who are doing cold exposure, but want support for the Breathing

-People who want to have a fun experience and use a workshop as a jumping off point to incorporate deep breathing and cold exposure into his or her daily routine.

I like to think that anyone would get something from my workshops, and they're for anyone that would feel comfortable doing a basic yoga class and sauna. I never do the exact same script twice, so there's always something new. Here's a little bit about me.

I have been a teacher and instructor for the past fifteen years, and I enjoy challenges. I volunteered for the hardest training in the Army, I’ve run marathons, and hiked the highest mountains throughout the Americas. Even though I like to test my mettle, I’ve never been good with the cold despite being a native Minnesotan. (I've always just bought nice winter jackets.) So at first, that’s all the Wim Hof Method (WHM) was for me: a new adventure in the cold. However, the WHM started to challenge and change me in unexpected ways.

First, I became conscious of my breathing patterns and how my breathing affects my mood and energy. I started to actively use my breath as a tool to help me with stress, cold exposure, work outs, and preparation for sleep. I began my cold training with cold showers, but then moved on to ice baths, shirtless snow angels, and jumping in holes in frozen lakes. I began changing mentally and physically. I lost weight, increased my energy, and was even able to influence my mood with my breathing. My wife is especially thankful for that last one. I recently became a WHM instructor to share all these fun yet powerful tools with others.

I have taught a variety of subjects at both the high school and college level for ten years. I also conduct summer training for Cadets at the Military Academy at West Point. I love being in the classroom and out in nature, leading and being active. After practicing the WHM at home during the pandemic, I went to Poland in January of 2022 to be certified as a WHM instructor.

Teaching people conscious deep breathing and cold exposure techniques is my new adventure. I look forward to helping you explore your inner strengths.
