How to ensure a migraine-free holiday

Migraine attacks are very painful, and the last thing you want is for your migraine symptoms to pop up on your holiday. Migraines are not comparable to a normal headache because, besides a severe headache, you can also experience sensory disturbances, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms that can last a day or more. Symptoms you do not want to have during your well-deserved holiday. Now that the summer season is here again, we would like to give you a few tips to get through your holiday without a migraine.

Make sure you rest well

No matter what kind of holiday you are going on, it is important to take some rest. Make sure that you nap, catch up on your sleep, relax, and take your medications. Taking time for yourself does wonders for reducing stress, which is a very common trigger for migraine attacks. If you are driving to your destination, we recommend taking frequent breaks where you stretch your legs and take a moment for yourself. After a (long) flight, you should take a nap. These moments of rest will contribute to a carefree holiday.

Stick to a sleeping schedule
