Wim Hof Expeditions
Catering to those who are looking for the ultimate Wim Hof Method experience, Expeditions are an adventure that goes beyond any workshop.
In short, these are weeklong trips with training directly from Wim Hof and a team of the most experienced WHM instructors, in a natural environment that fosters immersion and focus, while also being heaps of fun.
Each year we host the Winter Expedition around December - March, and a Summer Expedition around June - July. Read more about these wildly popular events below.
The Winter Expedition
Our coveted annual Winter Expedition is the ultimate Wim Hof Method experience: a full week of expert training and guidance, infused with Wim’s signature imagination and creativity, set in one of the most beautifully unspoilt places in the world.
You’ll center yourself with the most immersive collective breathing sessions, and then connect with the cold in all sorts of playful ways.
Explore pristine woods and creeks and dip into the clearest natural pools you’ve ever seen. Pay a visit to Wim’s home of VICE documentary fame. Muzzle your fear and jump down an icy waterfall. Play snowball tag... only Wim Hof and his group of veteran instructors know how you make friends with the cold while wearing a smile on your face.
Your week of training culminates in the famed climb of Mount Śnieżka (circumstances permitting). The size of this challenge is also what makes it so incredibly rewarding when you finally reach the top.
Of course all that frolicking in sub-zero temperatures drains your battery quicker than usual. Fortunately the soft beds and fresh meals of Hotel Gołębiewski give you the rest and energy you need to attack the next day. Its exquisite rooms are furnished with satellite TV, fridge, safe, and a balcony overlooking the pristine snow-capped mountains.
No ego, We go
The Winter Expedition can have up to 400 participants dipping in and out of ice baths at a time. To help manage this, the collective is divided into groups, each led by a pair of seasoned Wim Hof Method Instructors.
Wim leads the main activities, while the rest you conduct with your group— comprising about 20-30 members. Your instructors will teach you the Wim Hof Method breathing techniques, help you channel the trepidation you will no doubt feel at your first encounter with the icy brooks, and answer any questions that arise over the course of the week.
As much as you will experience individual breakthroughs, this is also very much a collective journey. The cold and breathing bring you together, and you’ll find yourself growing close bonds with people from the farthest corners of the world. Each year people leave having forged friendships that last them a lifetime.
Through gradual yet consistent training, you build a mindset tough as ice that will serve you long after your final cold dip. You come home with a newfound calm. Otherwise stressful situations no longer shake you, as you’ve learned to still your mind through the toughest gauntlets.
The potential lies inside of you, but Poland’s natural streams and crisp winter air will bring it to the surface. Step out of your comfort zone to discover how much more strength, health and happiness lies at your fingertips. By the end of the week you will be astounded to find the cold your warm friend.
The Summer Expedition
The Summer Expedition is a Wim Hof Method deep dive and summer getaway rolled into one. Often characterized as the little brother to the Winter Expedition, the summer iteration is not quite as intense, but has all of the insight, growth, fun, friendship & love.
Over the course of 5 days, Wim Hof teaches you the power of the mind, and all the benefits that come with it, through his patented breathing technique and various trials of the cold. All set in a beautiful valley in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees.
No ego, We go
The Summer Expedition has about 120 participants. To make sure everyone gets adequate personal training and attention, the collective is divided into groups, each led by a pair of veteran Wim Hof Method Instructors.
Wim hosts the morning breathing sessions, ice baths, and various other one-off activities. In between those he roams the camp and interacts ad hoc with the individual groups. Together with your group instructors, you undertake various complementary activities that reinforce Wim’s teachings.
Immersive breathing sessions take place under the Mediterranean sun, with a vibrant turquoise lake as backdrop. Makeshift ice baths & excursions out to fresh meltwater streams in the Pyrenee valleys and canyons, together ensure that you are consistently spending time with the cold, conditioning mind and body.
Evenings, your mental and physical energy is replenished with locally sourced, traditional Catalonian cuisine. You’re free to cap the day with cervezas and tapas at the bar, or opt for an early night’s sleep.
When you sign up for something like this, you have something to prove, something to improve, or something to remedy. Over the course of five magical days, you grow together to form an extraordinary, lasting bond, through your journey to find comfort in discomfort.
