I love water! I love our blue planet! The name "Planet Water" - has always made more sense to me than "Planet Earth"! 70% of our planet is water and it’s the same in our bodies. In my acupuncture training, I learned that the ancient Taoists observed that humans and nature share many basic similarities and water is one of them. I, like many, feel most alive being in or near water. So, when I stumbled upon Wim Hof talking about the healing powers of water and cold and air and nature, I knew I had met someone who spoke a similar language!

I really started hearing about the Wim Hof Method in Helsinki in 2019 at the Biohackers Summit. It sounded interesting but I thought it was more for extreme athletes. However, a year later, when our world was drastically changing, and self-care and stress reduction became the topics of the day, I took a closer look. What was it about? What could it offer? I knew Wim Hof was an extreme athlete - but could the method help a non-extreme athlete like me?

I began the on-line Fundamentals course in January 2021 after a polar dip into the Atlantic Ocean! I went in for 30 seconds, up to my thighs, immediately froze, and laughed at myself! Since then, I have practiced the Wim Hof Method most days - often in the ocean. My health has improved, I am less stressed and anxious, my ability to focus and get work done has increased, I've lost weight and most importantly, I love and believe in myself like never before! 

The Wim Hof Method has had the most profound effect on my ability to cope, thrive and rise above old traumas. I consider this 3-part method an essential part of each day. It is what I do before doing any of the other positive things that are good for my body, mind and spirit. The Wim Hof Method has become my anchor - it strengthens me and fortifies my courage to 'come out of my safe cave' more often, so I can participate in and enjoy life! Thank you Wim Hof!

What I do - I share! As a wellness practitioner and coach for over 20 years, I believe that the Wim Hof Method can bring about positive change to everyone - no matter one’s age or health level. I see how it lights up people's sense of 'aliveness'! Wonder-full! I feel this is a natural therapy both for today and for the future. I'd love to pass it along to you!
