Heeeeeeyooo! My name is Michael McTate (friends call me Tate) and I am the owner of Chilled Out Wellness, Ltd. based out of Fort Collins in Northern Colorado.
I have a beautiful wife and two of the sweetest little girls ever. I am a certified Wim Hof Method Instructor and avid yoga practitioner as wellness & fitness are major components of my life. I also have 10+ years of corporate sales/management experience in digital marketing/analytics & telecom.
When I’m not practicing and learning more about the WHM, I enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, snowboarding, soccer and pretty much any other outdoor activity. I view wellness & fitness as an ever evolving practice that needs to be structured yet flexible as we, as humans, are always changing physically, mentally and emotionally.
I take a very personalized approach in teaching the Wim Hof Method. We all have different goals and ambitions, strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes and that is part of what makes this journey of life and the relationships we develop so beautiful. I get to know all of my clients personally to learn more about their goals and motivations to better understand how the method can be best utilized in their day to day life. As a certified instructor of the Wim Hof Method I can show you how to safely and correctly apply the techniques so you can gain the maximum benefit for whatever your ambitions may be.
I also strive to understand as much of the current scientific literature and studies regarding the Wim Hof Method as that helps me to relay to participants how best to utilize the WHM. My goal is to help you better understand how some of the interworkings of the body operate so you can learn to work with your body instead of against it.
The Wim Hof Method has had such a profound, positive effect on my life, especially once implemented into part of my daily practice. Once I was able to manage my chronic back pain, have more energy and feel less stressed by practicing the WHM I felt obligated to share this with anyone else who may be searching for more and trying to re-condition their body and mind.
