School Sports and Music dominated my life as a student before going to University.   Played Soccer and competed in high jump on the track team.   Elected to All-State in both sports.  Played trumpet in the marching bank and jazz band, and sang in the chorus and select chorus.   Studying in School seemed a waste of time as it took away from sports and music.   Studied Accounting at the University of Connecticut because I didn't know what else to do.   Fortunately I found the law after taking a business law course at Uconn.  After graduating from Law School and passing the bar exam, worked for a small general practice firm for 2 years during which my daughter Blair was born and I found myself divorced from her mother at age 29.  My daughter taught me to snowboard when she was 10 and for 20 years we have snowboarded over the biggest Mountains in the Western part of the United States and in our home in New England.  At that time opened my law firm that is now in its 30th year.  We help accident victims and victims of violence and abuse recover compensation from the wrongdoer.  The firm has a studio where we teach mindfulness and conscious breathing.  The firm has organic vegetable and herb gardens in our front yard to educate people about sustainable farming.  We also have a free miniature library in front of our law firm.  10 years ago my adrenal glands were about fried after running wide open for too long with the pressure I put on myself to win cases at trial.   My bio electric system was a mess, with burning in my feet, muscle spasms all over my body and tingling in my spine.   Western doctors had no answers.   I saw almost every specialty and went through many diagnostic tests.  When my rheumatologist prescribed a cancer drug, I knew it was time to learn how to come back to myself and regain balance in my body and calm my mind.   This road led from Yoga to Tai Chi and Qi gong training, a deep dive into the worlds philosophies, traveling far and wide for Bhakti Yoga festivals and in 2018 to the Wim Hof Method where I met Wim at a day long immersion course in WHM in Brooklyn, New York.  there were 800 people there!! What an amazing experience.  The next summer I spent a week in the Pyrenees in Spain with Wim and his excellent instructors and 100 people from around the globe.   I have learned from many great teachers and am deeply grateful to them all.   Wim Hof, Ram Dass, Dr. Ming Wu, Tai Chi Chuck, Leslie Winter Gordon, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Alan Watts, Thich Nhat Hanh, Terrence Mckenna all teach essentially the importance of learning to Be Here Now.  The teachers I am the most drawn to teach various methods to open the heart and learn to charge up with the love streaming out of everything and offer it back to the world as an offering of gratitude.  Wim's method is essentially a beautiful blend of all of the things I've been lucky enough to learn and experience along the way.
