My own WHM story began in 2020. As a physiotherapist and naturally curious person, I was intrigued but skeptical when I first heard about it. But after trying the breathing exercises, I was amazed at how much energy and mental clarity I felt—like I had tapped into a hidden inner power.
Then came the real game-changer: my first ice bath. That experience, guided by a certified Wim Hof instructor, challenged me in ways I never expected. But as I stepped out of the ice, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm, happiness, and resilience—like my body and mind had reset. Over time, I noticed incredible changes: I was more focused, my stress levels dropped significantly, and I felt a deep inner confidence I hadn’t experienced before. Even my long- standing knee injury, which had held me back from running, improved so much that I was able to hit the track again.
In 2023, I took the leap to deepen my practice by attending a 5-day retreat with Wim Hof himself on an expedition in the Spanish Pyrenes. It was an intense and inspiring experience that completely shifted my mindset, making me realize just how much we can influence our own health and well-being. This inspired me to share the WHM with others, and in November 2024, I became a certified instructor.
