In 2022, I was seven years into building my business, working from dark in the morning until dark late at night, even on weekends. From the outside, I was creating something amazing, but on the inside, I was struggling. I didn’t realize how burnt out I was—how far I’d drifted from my passions and myself. Anxiety consumed me. I felt like I was trapped in a prison I had built with my own hands.
Then, in October, everything changed. One of my favorite musicians—someone I admired for walking across America and summiting Everest—posted that he was taking a group to Everest Base Camp. I applied, interviewed, and got accepted.
The journey was breathtaking. We trekked through the Himalayas, meditated under a canopy of stars, and even plunged into freezing rivers in the shadow of cascading waterfalls. It was during that trek that I was introduced to the Wim Hof Method—breathwork, cold exposure, and meditation. These tools were the spark I didn’t know I needed. The cold cleared my mind, breathwork helped me connect with myself, and meditation gave me balance. By the time we reached base camp, I felt something I hadn’t felt in years: alive.
When I came home, everything looked the same—but I was different. These tools helped me break free from the hustle. I started being intentional with my family, rediscovered my passions, and found balance for the first time in years. I even made the decision to close my business and embrace a life that aligns with what matters most.
That trek changed my life, and the tools I learned there—breathwork, the cold, and meditation—are what I now share with others. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, know this: change is possible. You can find your way back to yourself.
