Three years ago, I was suffering from complete burnout: I was struggling with high stress and crippling levels of anxiety, I was not sleeping, I was in chronic pain from an old injury, and I had low energy and extremely low mood. I was unable to stay present to enjoy the things that I should be enjoying or focus properly to really be productive with my work. I was completely just going through the motions with life.
After my first session of practicing WHM I got a really strong high that lasted throughout the day, the second day it got more intense and I was hooked. After a couple of weeks of just 3-4 rounds and a 2 minute shower I noticed a massive change in not only my overall mood but also the way I was interacting with my surroundings and processing information. It was as if a switch had turned on and I was awakened. The stress and anxiety that had been fueling me for so long were gone, and the initial high was replaced by a feeling of comfort and genuine happiness.
I began increasing the rounds of breathing, taking longer cold showers, weaning myself off pain and anxiety medication I had been taking for years, and getting back into exercise. As I’ve gotten deeper into the practice, I’ve noticed that my ability to process the stresses of life have reached such an elevated level that I am no longer burdened by the weight of them. The method has been a pivotal transformation in my life, and I hope to bring my personal experience, my expertise in fitness and nutritional health and my passion to a new community of people who can benefit from this program.
