Often the thought is more scary than actually doing the thing you are scared to do.
We are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. We often chose a comfortable route, but perhaps our bodies are not made to be comfortable, perhaps we should challenge ourselves daily if we want to stay strong, healthy and happy.
Practicing the method has taught me to embrace discomfort.
I don’t always feel like stepping under the cold shower or into the ice bath, but I learned that discomfort is a very mental thing.
The moment right before stepping into the cold actually is the most uncomfortable. Once you’ve made the decision to step towards your fears, the discomfort subsides, and you just go with the flow.
