May and June 2026 bring a wide range of Wim Hof Method events across France — from single-day introductions to multi-day retreats in the mountains. Whatever your level of practice, there is likely something here worth your attention.
Training with Wim Hof in the Southern Alps
From 19 to 21 June, the newly opened Wim Hof Method Center France in Aspres-sur-Buëch hosts a small residential weekend with Wim Hof. Limited to 24 people, it is one of the few chances to train directly with him in an intimate setting. The programme follows the core pillars of the method — breathing, cold exposure, mindset — over three days in the Alps, with accommodation, vegetarian meals, and airport transfers included.
Weekend Retreats and Mountain Immersions
Several instructors are running multi-day activities in France in June, each shaped by the landscape and approach they know best. From 5 to 8 June, Laurent D’acunto leads a four-day retreat at Villar-d’Arêne, in the Écrins massif. The setting — alpine lakes, waterfalls, high-altitude terrain — suits the kind of breathing and cold work the method calls for. A week later, from 12 to 15 June, the WHM Center in Aspres-sur-Buëch hosts a women’s retreat. Called Wild Presence, the four-day programme focuses on embodiment and connection with the natural environment.
On the weekend of 19 to 21 June, Rémy Allamanno runs a retreat in Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage centred on nature immersion and hormesis. And from 23 to 27 June, Alexandre Tonnelier leads a five-day trekking expedition out of Valmeinier — daily hiking, cold exposure in mountain lakes, a physically demanding week for those who want to test what the method is capable of in a real alpine context.
Fundamentals Workshops
For those coming to the method for the first time, the one-day Fundamentals Workshop is where most people begin. The format covers breathing technique, cold therapy, and the mindset behind the practice. Groups are kept small so there is room for questions and proper guidance. An optional ice bath closes the day. Among activities in France, few sessions are scheduled over the coming weeks: Kevin Le Trividic in L’Union on 30 May, Laurent D’acunto in Cabriès on 13 June — with a Tibetan bowl concert added to the programme — Etienne Falque Pierrotin in Montrouge on 14 June, and Ursula Taieb in Nérac on 28 June.
For those who already practice regularly, Community Sessions offer a way to train with others without returning to the basics. On 28 June, Pierre Theisse runs a two-hour session in Thionville — a breathing practice and ice bath, without preamble.
