The awesome people of Dynamix MMA - a legendary place where great fighters are created - have opened up their gym to welcome athletes of all kinds to come and learn these techniques.

What to bring:

  • Swimming attire and a towel.
  • Bathrobe and slippers are (optional)
  • Some snacks and a water bottle.
  • Comfortable (workout)clothing to wear during the workshop.

How to prepare

In the days leading up to the workshop, after the normal warm shower, turn off the hot water and stay under the cold shower and focus on calming down your breath. Don’t put your head under the cold water and don’t stay much longer than 1 minute in the cold shower. This way, you will have an idea of how the body reacts to the cold. If the cold shower seems daunting, carefully start with your feet and work up towards your chest with the cold shower. Don’t force anything that does not feel right. Keep your head away from the cold water for now, it can be an overwhelming sensation.

Everybody can participate at their own level, no pressure, no competition, no ego, just a lot of fun! If you have any conditions whatsoever concerning your health or blood circulation, please contact us beforehand and/or check with a physician just to be sure. The goal of the workshop is to teach you the health-improving and performance-enhancing effects of breathing techniques and cold-exposure, it’s not a competition.

What others are saying

Kaspers inspiring teachings opened my eyes to some amazing abilities of the human body that I had never even heard of. His applicable techniques and clear cut explanations of the scientific background were highly impressive to me and my athletes. The applications for athletic performance, active recovery and general well-being make for an absolutely invaluable set of tools for any athlete.

Kasper has the advantage of seeing the underlying principles and putting them into plain English. As an experienced science teacher, he’s trained in breaking down complex ideas into bitesized and digestible chunks. I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around his level of concentration. Kasper taught me to listen to the body and respond to my needs, while growing control of my fight-or-flight vs. rest-and-recover systems to my needs. The truly great thing about learning from Kasper is the effectiveness of his explanation and teaching. By lifting the curtain of the science so simply and understandably, I found it super easy to decide which methods could be used where in my training and performance preparation.
