Swiss Xperience

  • When Wim Hof Method meets Systema

"Unless you are willing to experience new things, you’ll never realise your full potential.” ~Wim Hof

    Outline of this week

In the Swiss Xperience, for the first time, we are combining two of the most interesting methods nowadays for developing the mind, the psyche and the body. We are indeed taking the most powerful elements of the Wim Hof methods and blending them with the dynamics and power of Systema, the Russian Martial Art.

You will learn to relax and strengthen your body and mind on a very deep level. You will learn to deal with the cold and even enjoy it ! You will learn how to breathe, how to move and how to relate with a body, whether it be yours or someone else’s.

The seminar will be hosted by Jerome Wehrens, one of the first and most experienced of Wim Hof’s instructors and Vincent Hürner, founder and chief instructor at Subrosa Systema school of Russian Martial Art in Geneva.

Two unique practices and approaches put together in an awesome environment surrounded by Swiss landscapes.

    Trainers

    Vincent Hurner
Vincent has been from an early age a passionate martial art practitioner. He is a researcher…on movement, on change, on communication and on those thoughts that lock people up, on violence, stress and fear…the way they express themselves, their mechanisms and the importance of breathing.

Certified in criminology and hypnotherapy, Vincent founded the SUBROSA school of Russian Martial Art in Geneva in 2011 in which he teaches Systema in an original and refreshing perspective along with a team of other qualified instructors.  He also continues to get educated in various domains and develops its activities to help people change in his practice in Geneva where he mixes all the tools he has acquired so far.

    Jerome Wehrens
Jerome is trained as manager and engineer and has more than 10.000 hours of experience in managing, coaching and training people of all ages. Jerome trains the instructors in the Wim Hof Method and has been involved with the method since 2009. In the Wim Hof Method, many of these insights come together and make him, as a teacher, effective, powerful and unique.

“I would like to share and transfer this knowledge to you so you can benefit from it. I hope to see you soon! Participants describe my training as unique, safe, humorous and effective.”

    Preparation Requirements:

To help with the method and have your more physically and mentally prepared on the day you can take the following steps:

    • Take a cold shower every morning or if that is too much you can start with a hot shower and gradually turn down the heat until the water is cold.
    • Learn how your body reacts to the cold.
    • Stay under the cold shower until you have your breathing under control and you feel calm. If you find this exercise difficult, just start at the feet and work up slowly. Be careful with your head under the cold shower and it’s better to skip the head for the first month.
    • Spend 5 to 10 minutes a day playing on the floor (any floor will do!). You can crawl, sleep, move, improvise and start using your imagination…this will soften your body and make it use again to a dimension most of us have forgotten.
