Learn the basics of the Wim Hof method in the beautiful Scottish countryside

Starting at 10:30 am this is an introductory workshop carried out in the picturesque surroundings of Dumfries & Galloway and will last approximately 5-6 hours.

Suitable for all ability levels from beginner to advanced the day will cover the fundamentals of the Wim Hof Method in a structured yet informal way.

You don’t have to be fit / a yoga instructor / a model in order to attend, and if you can’t do aspects of the Workshop I will find a way for you to still benefit.

Topics covered include:

  • The three pillars of the Method – Breathing, Mindset and Cold Exposure.
  • The theory and science behind Wim’s work.
  • How to apply the techniques to your daily lives.
  • How to continue your practice following the workshop.

....and an icebath! (Optional)

What to expect from your practice of the Wim Hof Method:

Regular practice of the method can benefit you in many different ways, including (but not limited to!):

  • Increased feelings of wellbeing.
  • Sharper focus of mind.
  • Improved health and fitness.
  • Enhanced sports performance and recovery.
  • Improved performance at work.
  • Better response to stress and challenges.

The session will be fun, friendly and informal and although the structure is set out we will have open conversation and questions are always welcome!

How should I prepare for the Workshop?

If you’ve already done the 10 week online course or are in the first few weeks.... just keep doing it!

If you have no experience with the Wim Hof Method then I would advise you start practicing cold showers (gently) at home a couple of weeks before coming to the workshop. Simply take a nice warm shower and try doing a few seconds with the temperature turned down. Relax. You’ll be fine. Then warm water again and repeat two more times.

What should I bring with me?

A light lunch will be provided, as will tea and coffee.

Please bring with you the following:

  • A large towel.
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for exercise.
  • Swimwear.
  • Slippers/flip flops.
  • Bath robe (optional).

I’d advise you not to eat too much on the morning of the workshop.

Once you have attended the workshop I can give you a 30% discount code for the 10-week online training course.

What about my medical condition?

If you have a medical condition you think may have a bearing on the workshop please let me know before booking, particularly Epilepsy or a heart condition.
